 Surrounded, I stood in the darkness of Skull Valley. Ancient Junipers revealed strangely familiar ancestral faces. Each twisted Manzanita, not unlike a labyrinth, traced the story of my life’s journey. Out of the shadows created by the rising moon appeared the image of the weathered grandmother who would later come to weave her wisdom into my dream time.
Why? I questioned. Why, in everything surrounding, do I always find the depth of my soul revealed? The dark haired medicine woman spun around, grabbed me firmly by the shoulders, and said, “Don’t you know? You, my friend, are a Shadow Walker. That IS your gift.” In that moment, I knew no truer words had ever been gifted me. The shamanic path is one of relentless initiation and self-examination. While we welcome the beauty of forging relationships with nature and the compassionate spirits who support her, we're also charged with excavating the depths of darkness within ourselves for illumination and transmutation. We shine in the light, soar on the wind, and dance through the fire. Yet, we also see through the eyes of the Shadow Walker – the one who's mission it is to explore what lies beneath the surface in order to identify and confront our deepest wounds and fears. Those who choose the shamanic way understand this darkness is sacred space that holds the potential for deep healing. We commit to navigating this realm, and all those we enter, in cooperation with Spirit and always with permission and integrity. We do not manipulate at will or invade uninvited. We support the potential for healing to occur and honor each soul’s right to chose their path. Bianca, many people feel nervousness or surging anticipation when feeling the call to shamanism. On some level you may be sensing just how big the work can be.

I believe I am a shadow walker… I am a tarot reader that was called …. More like SHOVED into this and had no idea what was happening. The energy within my solar plexus is SO STRONG I am breathless when the surges emerge. I am 100% of SOUND MIND and take pride in being “chosen” for this, but my questions to start are WHY AND WHAT AM I DOING? I work to enlighten others to TRUTH and speak so much truth and can’t even stop myself. I’m entirely UNSUCCESSFUL bc of my truth and integrity and willingness so go DARK AND DEEP. Agh help.

It seems I am a year late but in a lucid dream I had last night, I was called a shadow walker and was booted back into our reality and I had no idea what in the world this meant. Thank you for this post

I'm on my spiritual journey to awaken I was told I'm a shadow walker there's good things said and bad things said about a shadow. My soul love for all I believe in my creator god the light the source energy Since age 2 ive seen Demon spirits and darkness, i have dreams and visions of being once evil in a past life i believe, hurting people and animals, children (eyes watering) was i really that evil!! I can travel into different worlds (light and dark) i dont serve god or satan even though i deal with both sides. I fight off demons for people who are in need for help only its just me, not taking orders from god just serving myself. One man warrior. Bottom line is the universe has made me experience all these terrible nasty evil things to make me learn how to spot others with these same issues then deal with it, look deep into their soul and bring it out like a splinter. I also have the ability to use Demons powers against them, since i once was evil i still have those abilities. I possessed a demon spirit once in the spirit realm during battle, hard to explain but i hacked into its energy then show time!! I cant be around pure light and darkness i must sit inbetween both of them. Yes, im Chakreau and im a Shadow walker

In my dreams and meditations, I have not fear. A line of trees in black silhouette while the silhouette of a man walks beside me in that darkness. I have never been afraid, only curious to know more. When I asked his name it was given as Shadow Walker. Does this have any significance? What does it mean to me directly?

I know I'm a bit late on this post, but I was in a class for earth medicine, and a shaman ran this class. He asked us what animal we were attracted to, and I told him a lioness. He told me that I see others greatest potential and I bring it of them. He also told me that before this lifetime I wasn't on earth. Then he chuckled and called me "shadow walker", I never got to ask what that meant as there were many people in the class. It's hard to find information on what a shadow walker is online. I was hoping you could share more.

Lisa, I'd be happy to have a phone or online conversation with you. Otherwise, I believe there is divinity in the shadow. The term "shadow walker" may mean different things to different people. For me, the shadow walker is one who comes to view their shadow as a teacher and who commits to do the deep personal work that allows them to support others in doing the same. Leave a Reply. |
